6 more gold deposits to be commissioned in Azerbaijan
Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Zakir Ibrahimov met with a delegation led by General Director of the Organization for Frontier Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Major General Kamal Azfar.
Report informs citing AzerGold.
At the meeting, it was noted that friendly and fraternal ties between the two countries are at a high level, there are great opportunities for cooperation in the economic sphere, especially in the mining sector.
After informing in detail about the achievements of AzerGold CJSC in geological exploration, production and other areas, the launch of new fields and the work done to increase economic efficiency in the mining sector, Zakir Ibrahimov brought to attention that AzerGold has a successful experience of cooperation with foreign companies.
It was noted that AzerGold, which started production from only one field, was actively working on the preparation of several non-ferrous metal deposits, and at the end of last year it managed to commission another gold deposit – “Agyokhush-1”.
In addition, on the basis of the existing Chovdar ore processing site, practical steps were taken to create an integrated processing site, which will create conditions for centralized processing of ores at a single production site mined from several deposits (Agyokhush-2, Agyokhush -3 “,” Merekh “,” Tulallar “and” Narchala “), which are considered ineffective for independent operation. The creation of this deposit laid the foundation for the phased exploitation of these deposits without the construction of a new processing plant and related infrastructure, with an increase in the efficiency factor.
The Chairman of the Board said that according to the approved plan, in 2021-2027 it is planned to commission another 6 gold deposits, including 1 polymetallic deposit and 4 copper deposits, including the sulfide stage of the Chovdar gold deposit.
Zakir Ibrahimov stressed that the liberation of Karabakh as a result of the glorious victory of our Army under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief opened new prospects for cooperation in the mining sector of the region.
Major General Kamal Azfar, noting that his organization specializes in civil and military infrastructure, communication projects and mining in Pakistan, said that in order to transform the enterprise into a company that meets modern requirements, they intend to use AzerGold’s advanced experience in mining industry, especially in the field of gold mining.
